High Atlas

The High Atlas of Morocco, is the largest mountainous in the country. It is one of the 6 areas of the Maghreb High Atlas and extends from east to west in the middle of the country.


In the Atlantic zone, the mountains rise sharply in the area between Marrakech and Ouarzazate, where we find impressive areas as the Draa Valley, the Valley of Ourika, lakes like Lalla Takerkoust and mountains like Toubkal, the highest mountain in  Morocco where they accumulate the Trekking in the High Atlas.


If we ascend the High Atlas to the east, we find narrow valleys and canyons with large rivers, where also abound impressive routes as the Dades Gorge.
